Pompey are back in action this Saturday as they welcome Cardiff City to Fratton Park.
It’s been a tough start to the campaign at PO4, with John Mousinho’s new-look side picking just one win in their opening four league matches.
The Blues currently sit 21st in the early-season standings following a 2-0 defeat to Derby County in midweek.
The head coach will be searching for an instant response from his troops but will be boosted by the deadline day additions of Jayden Meghoma and Tyrese Shade.
With changes expected, here’s how we think the Blues could line-up against Brian Barry-Murphy’s newly-promoted side this Saturday.

5. CB: Conor Shaughnessy
The Irishman was rested in midweek as the Blues continue to manage his minutes. After missing Tuesday's defeat, Shaughnessy is expected to come straight back into the fold. | Jason Brown

6. LB: Jayden Meghoma
Deadline day capture could be thrown straight into the action amid Pompey's ongoing left-back issues. Very highly-rated and will offer a new dimension to the Blues' left flank, according to Mousinho. | Portsmouth FC

7. CM: Iyad Mohamed
Still very little know about the midfielder, who arrived from Casa Pia last week. Mohamed came off the bench to replace Pack in midweek and is in the reckoning to start this weekend. | Jason Brown

8. CM: Rocco Shein
Dropped to the bench in midweek as he continues to adapt to English football. Has shown glimpses as to why Pompey paid the money they did to land his signature in the summer. | Jason Brown
