Portsmouth-linked attacker suffers fresh transfer blow in aftermath of collapsed deadline day Fratton switch
Swansea City winger Zeidane Inoussa’s loan switch to Fratton Park collapsed on deadline day.
Pompey-linked attacker Zeidane Inoussa has had a second loan deal fall through in the past week.
And Vitor Matos has explained why the winger was omitted from Swansea City’s 25-man EFL squad list.
The 24-year-old was reportedly on the Blues’ radar as the summer window raced towards its climax earlier this month.

The forward, who had only made the £5m move to the Swansea.com Stadium the previous summer from BK Hacken, had dropped down Matos’ pecking order and was given the green light to depart along with ex-Pompey loanee Florian Bianchini and Ronald on the final day of the window.
Despite a loan switch to PO4 reportedly being agreed, a late-window move to the south coast collapsed, with the Blues instead recruiting Tyrese Shade in a £2.2m deal from Burton Albion.
With some foreign markets still opening, Swansea are still looking to offload Inoussa, who has also been left out of the club’s 25-man EFL squad list.

Reports in Croatia have since claimed a move to top-flight outfit NK Osijek has also fallen through due to a failed medical, although the Swans have rubbished those claims.
As Inoussa’s frustrations continue, Matos remains keen to find a new home for the £5m man to allow him opportunity to seek much-needed game time - something he won’t currently find in South Wales.
Speaking to BBC Radio Wales, the Swansea boss said: ‘At the moment some markets are still open so let's see how it ends up.
‘The space is still there [in the 25-man squad], and when everything is more settled we will assess and see for sure what the situation will be.
‘We all want to have all the players here, but in the end all the players want to play, and Zeidane deserves nothing more than respect from our side.
‘So if he wants, I think he deserves to play to prove himself, to have game-time.
‘It's important for him because of what happened last season in terms of coming back from injury at the end of the season, so he needs that. We are here to support him and then let's see how it goes.’
Pompey-linked attacker remains at Swansea City - for now

After his multi-million pound move from Swedish outfit BK Hacken in July 2025, Inoussa struggled to adapt to Championship football before a back fracture sidelined him for the final five months of the season.
He netted just one goal and collected just two assists in 29 appearances during his maiden campaign for the Swans, who are now looking to offload the winger just 14 months into his five-year deal.
Inoussa’s switch to Fratton Park wasn’t the only deal which collapsed on deadline day, with Ronald’s £2m move from the Swansea.com Stadium to Millwall also fell through.
