'I don't even remember it!': Portsmouth hero Adrian Segecic on the secret behind his Sheffield Wednesday winner
The Australian grabbed his fifth goal of the season in the 1-0 success at Hillsborough
Adrian Segecic admits he finally listened to John Mousinho’s advice - not that he can actually remember his Pompey winner.
The Australian struck in the 65th minute against Sheffield Wednesday, meeting Millenic Alli’s left-wing cross with a first-time left-footed finish.

His fifth goal of the season lit up a drag encounter against the League One-bound hosts, with the first-half, in particular, a dreadful spectacle.
According to Segecic, he had been encouraged in training this week by Pompey’s head coach to take up more back-post positions rather than drop to the edge of the box, which he favours.
And the outcome was a 1-0 success at Hillsborough - and a huge three points.
He told The News: ‘Honestly, I don’t remember much of it, I just remember it coming over and wondering whether Colby was going to hit it.
‘All week in training, the gaffer has told me to get back stick and I’m not really one to run at the back stick. Then it fell to me and it obviously hits the post and goes in, a bit of luck, which is great.
‘Everyone has been telling me to go back stick, all week. I always love running to the end of the box for the cut back, so for me to get the goal was amazing.
‘In those moments, that’s why I don't remember much to be honest, not until I go back and watch it. It all happens so fast.
‘As an attacking player, things happen so fast, so whether you miss a good chance you need to keep going and you’ll get another one, definitely stay positive.
‘That’s definitely instinct, attack it when it falls into the box, there’s nothing else on your mind other than to get a nice clean strike on the ball.’
Victory takes Pompey to 11 points from their last 18 available, maintaining an encouraging momentum which keeps them out of the Championship relegation zone.
While Segecic continues to be the leading scorer, with his first goal since netting in the 3-1 victory over Millwall in November.
Although Pompey had to improve considerably in the second half at Hillsborough to find the difference.
Segecic added: ‘The manager gave us a wake-up call and to just relax a bit more, get the full-backs to drop it to the sixes to get on the ball a bit more and calm the game down and control it a bit more.
‘Away from home, the most important thing is to take the sting out of the game and control it - and then speed the play up when we are attacking.
‘I thought we did that brilliantly in the second half, we locked them in and controlled the game a lot more.’
