The Blues were leading through Tyrese Shade’s sixth-minute goal, his first for the club since joining from League One Burton,
However, their Austrian keeper gifted the visitors an equaliser on 59 minutes when Ben Johnson’s cross from the right went straight through his hands and Jack McGlynn capitalised.
Then, 13 minutes from time, Schmid push out Ethan Galbraith’s shot and Ben Wilmot headed into an empty net to send the visitors to the top of the Championship.
And here are our Pompey ratings...
9. Adrian Segecic - 7
(Replaced by Thomas Waddingham on 65 mins) Continued on the right flank and built on Tuesday night’s lively showing. Looks more effective in that role at present and again posed a threat coming inside with his energy. | Jason Brown
10. Odin Bailey - 8 - Man Of The Match
(Replaced by Josh Murphy on 81mins) Steadily cementing a first-team starting spot with another strong display. Drew one first-half save from the keeper, yet always clever on the ball, trying to make things happen and suddenly looks to be quite a find by Pompey’s recruitment team - 8 - MOM | Jason Brown
11. Abu Kamara - 5
(Replaced by Ryan Kavuma-McQueen on 81 mins) Recalled to the side, although asked to play on the left-wing rather than his usual right flank role. Yet again struggled to make much of an impact, even when moved back to the right following Segecic’s substitution. | Jason Brown
12. Tyrese Shade - 7
Moved over from left wing to centre-forward in injury absence of Milovanovic and grabbed his first Pompey goal after six minutes for a wonderful moment for the ex-Eastleigh man. Grew as the game went on, wanting the ball and popping up in spaces to make decent use of it. Switched back to the left when Waddingham came on. | Jason Brown
