The January transfer window once again saw a long list of players touted to arrive at Fratton Park.
Some of the players proved to be names who were firmly of interest to the club’s football operation this winter with others, well, less so...
So we’ve assembled a list of those names, and used some of our knowledge to offer a little insight into the credence of those Fratton links.
9. Ousmane Sow
The winger was wanted by Pompey, after delivering some impressive numbers in Poland with Gornik Zabrze. It was Danish side Brondby who always appeared to be in the driving seat, however, and they sealed a move for £2.6m plus add-ons. | BELGA MAG/AFP via Getty Images
10. Roggerio Nyakossi
The Swiss centre-back was a name who surfaced last month, but Pompey's interest in OH Leuven man looked be historical and stretched back to a reported bid last summer. | BELGA MAG/AFP via Getty Images
11. Keshi Anderson
A move which seemed to accelerate fairly quickly, with Pompey reacting quickest when his deal with Birmingham City was cancelled - with an 18-mongh agreement finalised. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
12. Ebou Adams
Pompey have a long-running interest in Adams with sporting director Rich Hughes taking the player to Forest Green in 2019. Derby were prepared to let Adams depart last month, with a £500,000 deal wrapped up - and the midfielder looking a snip at that price so far. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
