And while other alterations could have been made, Jackett has opted against tinkering too much for the clash with their League Two visitors.

Ross McCrorie is rewarded for his substitute impact on Saturday by being named in place of James Bolton at right-back.

While Ben Close comes in for Gareth Evans, who drops out of the 18-man squad entirely.

Alex Bass keeps his place ahead of Craig MacGillivray, while Ronan Curtis makes his first Leasing.com Trophy appearance of the campaign.

Elsewhere, Oli Hawkins is added to the substitutes’ bench.

Pompey: Bass, McCrorie, Burgess, Raggett, Seddon, Naylor, Close, Harness, McGeehan, Curtis, Harrison.

Subs: MacGillivray, Marquis, Whatmough, Williams, Brown, Hawkins, Bolton.
