The Blues played the Gunners four days after they played Olympiacos in the Europa League, with it later emerging that Evangelos Marinakis has tested positive.

However, according to Pompey a postponement decision is yet to be reached,

The statement read: ‘Portsmouth Football Club can confirm we are in discussions with the EFL, Accrington Stanley and medical experts.

‘This comes after the news that Mikel Arteta, whose Arsenal side Pompey played in the FA Cup on March 2, has tested positive for coronavirus.

‘We would like to send our best wishes to Mikel and everyone at Arsenal, as well as anybody who has been affected by the outbreak.

‘A further statement will be released later this morning.’

Just like the Premier League, the EFL is set to hold an emergency meeting this morning to discuss a suspension of games.
