Portsmouth manager search LIVE: Danny Cowley set for job
Pompey are in the recruitment for a new manager after the departure of Kenny Jackett.
The 59-year-old’s reign of almost four years came to an end on Sunday following the humbling Papa John’s Trophy final defeat to League Two Salford the previous day.
Now the Blues need a new chief to come in and reignite the League One play-off push with 12 games remaining.
Joe Gallen took charge of last night’s 1-0 loss to Peterborough, which saw Pompey slip to 10th in the table.
Surely now chief executive Mark Catlin will look to appoint Jackett’s successor before the crunch clash against top-six rivals Ipswich on Saturday.
Catlin spoke to Michael Eisner and the Fratton Park board yesterday, discussing managerial options such as Danny Cowley and Daniel Stendel.
