The Pompey midfielder moves to the National League high-flyers for the remainder of the season.

May, 22, endured a frustrating spell at Swindon during the first half of the campaign.

Despite moving to the County Ground for the season, he was restricted to 13 appearances for the League Two leaders – with only five from the outset.

May, who’s made 30 Blues appearances since his debut in April 2015, returned to Fratton Park last month.

There were hopes to send him out to another fourth-tier outfit and he underwent a trial at Crawley.

A move failed to materialise before the 11pm deadline on January 31, however.

Now May joins Boreham Wood to bolster their bid for promotion into the Football League.

The Wood sit fifth in the National League table with 13 games remaining.
