Pompey have reached out to fans who experienced difficulties when trying to buy multiple tickets for next month’s FA Cup trip to Spurs.

In a statement via the club website, the Blues informed anyone impacted that they should contract the ticket office, where a member of staff would be available to help.

If phone lines are busy, then supporters have been further advised to email [email protected] with all client IDs associated with their booking. A member of the ticket office team should then respond within the next 24 hours.

Issues were reported on the first day of sales for the January 7, third-round tie which will be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With Pompey allocated 8,880 tickets for the game, those supporters with 10-plus loyalty points were given a spot at the top of the queue from 3.30pm on Monday, with the ability to purchase tickets for friends/family members in their ticketing network.

That window of opportunity is open until midday on Wednesday, when all season-ticket holders are invited to purchase their seats.

However, some fans on Monday experienced difficulties when trying to purchase more than one ticket per transaction.

Yesterday, Pompey took to Twitter to remind fans that anyone who was part of a transaction had to be part of their network with 10-plus loyalty points.

Instructions were also attached on ways of adding people to networks.

Meanwhile, supporters were further advised that only one device per network joined the Ticketmaster queue.

Those instructions had the desired effect, with the Blues later reporting that the majority of supporters with 10+ loyalty points were successfully buying multiple tickets per transaction.

Yet to ensure everyone got the necessary help they needed, further guidance was issued via the website, with those still with issues asked to contact the ticket office by phone 0345 646 1898 (option one)or email.

The club also thanked all fans for their continued support.

Following season-ticket holders, members and those who purchased a ticket in their name for the Hereford or MK Dons Cup games will be entitled to buy tickets from Thursday (3.30pm).

Should any tickets be available for general sale, this period will commence on Monday, December 19.
