It is understood the former Bournemouth defender is in the process of tying up a Fratton Park deal ahead of Saturday’s visit of Hull.

The 34-year-old’s departure from Shrewsbury was announced by the club on Tuesday evening, paving the way for a switch to Pompey.

Now the Blues are completing the paperwork for Daniels, who will provide left-back competition for Lee Brown.
