Ellis Harrison feels he’s ready for another crack at the Championship.And the striker pinpointed he moved to Pompey because he felt it was the best place that’d provide him with the chance of returning to the second tier.

Harrison was handed a maiden crack in the division when he joined Ipswich Town from Bristol Rovers in the summer of 2018.

However, it turned out to be a season to forget for the affable Welshman.

He was confined to the Portman Road treatment table for large period, restricting him to just one goal in 17 appearances.

What’s more, the Tractor Boys endured a torrid time on the pitch and suffered relegation to the third tier for the first time since 1957.

Harrison departed Ipswich after just a year, moving to long-time admirers Pompey for the first time for a fee believed to be around £450,000.
