Portsmouth target from Wolves completes move to League One rivals

The Wolves forward joined the Brewers on a season-long loan.

Ennis emerged as a striking target for the Blues earlier this month. Oxford United were also linked with the 21-year-old.

The England youth international’s age meant he would not count towards the League One salary cap.

But Ennis did not make an 11th-hour switch to the south coast and instead joined Jake Buxton's Burton.

Ellis Harrison and John Marquis are Pompey’s only recognised strikers until the January transfer window opens, although Kenny Jackett is comfortable with that.
