Portsmouth to introduce new fan loyalty and reward programme for next season
Joining forces with Barclays and Fortress GB, the programme is designed to deepen the relationship between the club and its supporters.
It will also ensure that the Fratton faithful are rewarded for their loyalty and engagement with the Blues.
To initiate the project, all PO4 season-ticket holders and members will receive a card that will work as both their match-day ticket and a pre-paid payment card.
According to a statement from Pompey, Barclays will embed payment technology within the card so that it can be used for all purchases at Fratton Park and the club shop – as well as anywhere that accepts Visa as a payment method.
The Fratton faithful will then earn loyalty points from those purchases, which they can then redeem for exclusive rewards or ‘money-can’t-buy’ Pompey experiences.
Loyalty points will also be earned though expenditure at certain high street and online outlets.
Meanwhile, club partners and other businesses will also be able to get closer to Blues fans by offering incentives and rewards through the programme.
Pompey’s chief commercial officer, Anna Mitchell, said: ‘We are excited to launch this new initiative, which will provide an opportunity for our amazing fans to get even closer to the club.
‘There are plenty of fantastic and innovative rewards that will be offered to our supporters, while having one card to use for both entering Fratton Park and spending inside the stadium provides added convenience.
‘We would like to thank Barclays and Fortress GB for their support and look forward to launching this great new initiative ahead of next season.’
