With the Blues having last night secured a dramatic passage to Wembley on April 5, all eyes were on tonight’s semi-final between Newport County and Salford.

The all-League Two clash finished goalless after full-time, ensuring it entered a penalty shoot-out.

And it was Salford who triumphed 6-5 to join Kenny Jackett’s side in the final.

Graham Alexander’s side are 11th in League Two during their maiden Football League campaign.

Their team includes former Pompey striker Jake Jervis, who has scored five goals in 24 appearances this season.
