There’s never been another window quite like this one in terms of the Blues moving quickly to complete their business - with NINE players already in the building.
But what do fans actually know of the new arrivals? We’ve done our homework to give a breakdown of what the signings bring to the table – and where they realistically fit into John Mousinho’s plans.
9. Kusini Yengi
The ‘wildcard’ signing John Mousinho has spoken about this summer. The Aussie has the potential and raw assets to be a success in the English game, but some time and patience is needed. Full of pace and power and has returned 0.3 goals per 90 in his career to date. Was largely used off the left at Western Sydney Wanderers, with both Pompey and the player viewing the 24-year-old as an out-and-out striker. Photo: Portsmouth FC
10. Anthony Scully
A man Pompey have earmarked to bring goals and assists to the table, taking some of the weight of expectation off Colby Bishop in the process. Scully has shown he can play anywhere along the front line, but will be expected to play off the left - where he’s shown a preference to cut in and arrow shots at goal. Will have to bounce back from a tough season at Wigan, but his Lincoln numbers in League One are mouthwatering. Photo: Portsmouth FC
