It’s not been three weeks since the Blues’ season came to and end, but a host of players have already been linked with a move to Fratton Park.
As a result, News reporters Jordan Cross and Sam Cox sat down and discussed every name touted to join Danny Cowley’s side to date.
Figures from the Premier League down to the National League have been mooted as potential signings – with varying degrees of truth to each rumour.
Here’s what they had to say on each individual.

5. Alex Gorrin - Oxford United
Cross said: 'He's been seemingly bubbling around forever! When he was up in Scotland he was first linked with Pompey there and he's come back from some big injury issues. Karl Robinson was keen to keep him and he's been linked again with the Blues among a stack of clubs. I think it's agent driven by the amount of clubs that have been mentioned. It's not one beyond the realms of possibility.'

6. Ethan Erhahon - St Mirren
Cross said: ''He's a young midfielder who potentially fits the bill. The question mark over that one, and midfielders in general, is that Pompey are pretty well stocked in that area and it isn't a priority area for them. I think Danny Cowley would like one more established option in there - someone who's not going to be a box-to-box midfielder but someone who's more likely to sit there.'

7. Matt Butcher - Accrington
Cross said: 'Butcher has been mentioned for over a year now, but he came with a fee last year and is a free agent now which is significant. He's the type of player who would potentially fit the bill. I think he's not at the top of Pompey's hitlist, though. I do think he's on the list, but I don't think he's near the top. It's my understanding there are a number of clubs, including Bristol Rovers, Motherwell, Fleetwood, Bradford, and St Mirren, who are interested. My feeling is it's not one Pompey will pursue.'

8. Toby Mullarkey - Altrincham
Cox said: 'It's my understanding Mullarkey signed a new two-year-deal with the club last week. There is the potential that the non-league side are protecting their asset, but it's probably another one who is lower on their list of priorities in terms of the centre-backs they're after.'
