But they’ll be up against a side in form, with the Dons picking up three wins and two draws from their past five games.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off...

Pompey team news

Pompey will leave it late to determine the availability of both Ellis Harrison and Andy Cannon for the game against MK Dons.

The duo sat out the 1-0 defeat at Fleetwood on Saturday, despite Harrison (dead leg) being initially included in the starting XI.

However, the striker was forced to pull out of the team 15 minutes before kick-off, after suffering a reaction to the injury he picked up in the win against Exeter.

Cannon has been out with a glute problem for the past five matches.

Meanwhile, Lee Brown should return to the squad after missing the trip to Fleetwood following an illness.

MK Dons team news

Former Pompey forward Joe Mason could return the MK Dons squad following a muscle strain.

The 28-year-old hasn’t featured since the 1-0 defeat against Sunderland on January.

He was earmarked for a return for Saturday’s 1-0 win against Bolton, but it came too soon.

Mason, though, should be fit to return to Fratton Park, where he made three of his four Blues appearances while on loan from Wolves last season.
