The winger has been crowned the winner of the prize for the 2019-20 campaign, beating off Christian Burgess in second spot.

Curtis, who is a Republic of Ireland international, enjoyed a fine second season at Fratton Park following his move from Derry City in June 2018.

He was a key player for Kenny Jackett’s side as their League One promotion push fell just short.

Curtis scored 14 goals and provided 12 assists as the Blues suffered play-off semi-final defeat to Oxford United earlier this month.

Set up in February of this year, the Pompey Northern Ireland Supporters’ Club currently consists of 47 members.

And it was Curtis who collected their inaugural player of the season award.

Burgess, who was named The News/ Sports Mail Player of the Season, had to settle for second spot.

Curtis was presented with the trophy by members of the supporters’ club.

The 24-year-old has been the subject of interest from Premier League-chasing Brentford as a potential replacement for Said Benrahma.

Curtis signed a new contract in February to keep him at Pompey until the summer of 2023.
