Championship form table: Portsmouth’s surprise position over past six matches compared to Southampton, Norwich City & Co

Pompey have enjoyed a brilliant turnaround in form in recent weeks, which has closed the deficit to the sides above them.

John Mousinho’s men sit just one point and one place above the relegation zone following Saturday’s 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

The triumph at Hillsborough continues the Blues’ excellent run of results, which has seen them pick up three wins from their previous six matches.

There were draws against QPR and Derby County during that time, while a 5-0 defeat to Bristol City on New Year’s Day remains the only blemish on Pompey’s recent record.

That has seen the gap above them continue to come down, with just six points now separating Norwich City in 22nd and 15th-placed Southampton in the standings.

Having picked up 11 points in their previous six league matches, how does that tally compare to their rivals?

We’ve taken a look at the Championship form table to see where the Blues currently rank - and it makes impressive reading for the Fratton faithful.
