The 7 Portsmouth players who could depart Fratton Park before transfer window's climax

Pompey are expected to be busy in the final days of the January transfer window.

It’s been a busy month at Fratton Park, with Pompey recruiting four new faces.

Millenic Alli, Ebou Adams, Keshi Anderson and Aji Alese have all sealed switches during the transfer window to bolster John Mousinho’s ranks for the second half of the season.

Business isn’t expected to slow in the final three days, with the Blues looking to strengthen in a number of departments before Monday’s deadline.

The futures of some of Mousinho’s squad are under the spotlight, with Pompey looking to free up space in their 25-man EFL squad.

With the clock ticking down to Monday’s deadline, we’ve taken a look at the six players who could be on their way out of Fratton Park in the final days.

Tom McIntyre

The centre-back is out of favour and is not being considered by Mousinho to fill the current void in the heart of defence as injuries ravish his options.

The January 2024 arrival is entering the final six months of his current terms on the south coast, with his future looking certain to be away from PO4.

Should the Blues fail to find a new home for the ex-Reading man before Monday, they could cancel his contract - something they have done previously with Gavin Whyte.

Callum Lang

There has been plenty of noise over Lang’s future this month, with Preston North End reigniting their interest in the forward.

Reports even suggested the Blues had rejected a £1.5m bid from the Lilywhites for the 27-year-old, who has been limited to just eight appearances due to injury this term.

Talk of a move to Deepdale has quietened over the past week, though, and is looking increasingly likely to remain at Fratton after the window’s closure.

Pompey will also need time to find a replacement for the winger before the 7pm deadline, with Lang effectively holding 18 months on his current terms.

Jordan Archer

Archer is another who looks likely to depart before the closure, having been left out of the Blues’ 25-man squad for the first half of the season.

That is expected to remain the case for the remainder of the campaign, with the keeper hoping for more regular game time - something which won’t happen at Fratton this season. The 32-year-old is also entering the final six months of his contract.

Jacob Farrell

The left-back has registered just three appearances in all competitions since his 2024 summer move, with respective injuries hampering his availability.

Now fully fit, the Aussie does have interest elsewhere and is one to keep an eye on in the remaining three days, with a loan move expected if he was to depart.

Luke Le Roux

The South African international may well be another who Pompey could part ways with either on a permanent basis or on a temporary deal before Monday..

The £1m summer signing has struggled to make a significant impact during his time at Fratton Park and has registered just 11 outings in all competitions.

There is a danger the 25-year-old may not be registered in the 25-man squad should he remain, which could open up some avenues for an exit in the final three days.

Tayo Singerr

Another loan deal could be on the cards for the striker, who bagged 14 goals in 18 appearances for Money’s, as he bids to continue his development into senior football.

Ibane Bowat

Bowat would have likely departed Fratton Park on loan during the window after a tough first half of the season, which saw the defender feature 10 times in all competitions, in a bid to bag regular match minutes.

That ship is likely to have already sailed, though, given the Blues’ current injury issues at the heart of the backline, with the 23-year-old now expected to play a key role in the coming weeks.
