Karl Robinson's side and their opposition have agreed to scrap the clash after two members of the U's camp tested positive for coronavirus yesterday.

A statement on Oxford's website said: ‘Oxford United’s proposed friendly this afternoon has been cancelled by mutual consent.

‘The U’s were due to play a Championship side but last night the two clubs agreed, after yesterday’s news that two people had tested positive for Covid-19, that the sensible thing to do was to cancel the game.

‘All procedures and guidelines have been adhered to and United will resume training this week, with further testing on Sunday and another friendly scheduled for midweek.’

Pompey will welcome Oxford to Fratton Park for the first leg of their play-off semi-final double-header on Friday, July 3 (5.30pm).

The return clash will take place at the Kassam Stadium on Monday, July 6 (5pm).
