Kenny Jackett confessed he's been keeping an eye on the man who dazzled while on loan at PO4 during the first half of the 2018-19 campaign.

The Blues are still keen to bolster their engine room before the transfer window closes next Friday, though, and want someone more forward-thinking in the engine room.

Although Jackett insisted he's currently happy with his options, he revealed he's 'always looking' to improve where possible.

He said: ‘We'll see (if a new midfielder arrives). At the moment, we have Tom Naylor, Ben Close, Bryn Morris and Andy Cannon.

‘All have had decent pre-seasons and we do feel there is a decent compliment of players there.

‘We are always looking to try to improve.

‘But, similarly, I do feel of those lads going the job in midfield as well.

‘There is some good players in there that are committed and know there jobs.’
