How Portsmouth fans have reacted to draw at Norwich City following late drama at Carrow Road
Pompey remain out of the Championship relegation zone following their draw at Norwich
Pompey fans on social media have been reacting to the Blues’ 1-1 draw against Norwich at Carrow Road.
An own goal from summer transfer target Pelle Mattsson on 84 minuntes handed John Mousinho’s side a share of the points, after the Danish midfielder had opened the scoring for the hosts midway through the first half.
The goal allows Pompey to remain outside of the relegation zone with seven games to go, with both Leicester and Oxford claiming home draws against Preston North End and Hull respectively.
And with a Fratton Park clash against the U’s next up on Monday, there’s many of the Fratton faithful feeling a lot more positive than before kick-off.
Here’s what fans have been saying on X following the final whistle at Carrow Road.
@HazzaTWood96: We get a valuable point away at Norwich, an own goal was enough for a valuable draw. Frustrated not to win but happy we didn't lose, PUP.
@SteveoLarham: Deserved result all things considered. Norwich didn't really threaten whole 2nd half. When you're down the bottom you need some luck and got that avoiding 1 red and an OG. Onto a big game Monday!
@triglarrrrrrr: MASSIVE result! Bring on Monday!
@James_Pompey_: Huge improvement and loads of fight in the second half. Honestly didn’t think we had it in us. Three points on Monday and we are still just about alive.
@PompeyDurham: Well; I’m gonna say it, Colby Bishop had a great game, worked his socks off!
@JAudley89: I’ll take that point how bad we were on the first half, how we managed to keep 10 men, let alone 11 on the pitch & we’re at one point 23rd in the league… bring on Oxford on Monday, needs a repeat of the promotion season atmosphere.
@andymp345: Anderson defensive work so underrated made huge difference coming on but big point but have win monday now
@livimp92: Fair play, will definitely take a point. Not much quality but they stuck in there.
@jackdavidbaker: Monday is absolutely critical and one we need to win!
@ShaunCHill: So much better when Doz was on the pitch. Start him and Le Roux Monday please Mous
@SamMcEwan17: Massive point. Now HAVE to beat Oxford. Shows the importance of getting results against teams already on holiday.
@NoahPfc: Big Credit to the defence and midfield who have earned us a point today.
