'Premier League class won out... Gave a good account': Portsmouth fans react to FA Cup defeat to Arsenal

The Premier League giants triumphed in the televised clash under the lights at Fratton Park.

The Blues will turn their attention to the League One promotion race as their spirited FA Cup run finally came to an end.

Sokratis Papstrathopoulous opened the scoring for the Gunners just before half-time.

Arsenal then doubled their lead early in the second period through Eddie Nketiah.

Despite the result, supporters have praised the Blues for their performance against the Gunners.

Jason Butcher: ‘Unfortunately Premiership class won out. So can the fans now take that atmosphere into the remaining Div 1 home games to intimidate the visitors please?’

Dazzla: ‘Had a decent enough go in the 1st half..huffed & puffed but just couldn’t get that cutting chance. Evans header best chance I feel.

‘After the 2nd they were happy to see the game out! No injuries..Bolton at CB looks a decent option..expected result..gave a good account!’
