But it was Linvoy Primus’ arms who were raised to the heavens, as the devout Christian scored both goals against the side he supported as a child in the 2-1 Boxing Day success.
Primus put his rare goals down to some divine intervention from above on one of the biggest days of his career.

9. Gary O'Neil
O’Neil came through Pompey’s academy and made his first-team breakthrough in 2000, he later made 192 appearances for the Blues before moving to Middlesborough in 2007. Spells at West Ham, QPR, Norwich and Bolton followed before his retirement in 2019. He joined Liverpool as an U23s coach in August before becoming a coach at Bournemouth earlier this year. The former Portuguese international and Champions League winner played 68 times for the Blues between 2006 and 2008 and was crucial in Harry Redknapps revival of Pompey. Mendes moved to Rangers in 2008 before returning back to Portugal in 2011 playing for Sporting and Guimares before retiring in 2012. Fratton favourite, Kanu, scored the winner in Pompey FA Cup triumph which helped Adams side reach Europe. He made 165 appearances in his six-year stay on the south-coast and retired following the club's relegation to League One in 2012.
