13. Clark Robertson: 8
‘‘Although he’s only been here a short while, Clark Robertson’s one of the few players Pompey have with real leadership qualities. ‘It’s clear to see he’s been a huge miss, with the amount of goals Pompey have conceded going up. ‘You rarely see a single player's absence accelerate a tactical change from a manger, and without Robertson’s injury admission, there’s no way Cowley would have switched to a back three so quickly.’ Picture - Jason Brown/ProSportsImages Photo: Jason Brown
14. Ryan Tunnicliffe: 8
‘It was clear to see Pompey had a quality player on their hands when he hit the ground running. From the games we’ve seen so far from him, there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s a Championship quality player. ‘It wouldn’t surprise me to see him emerge as one of the best midfielders in the league this season. 15. Gavin Bazunu: 9
‘I'm running out of words to describe Bazunu, he’s massively impressed me so far this season. I believe he is one of, if not the, best goalkeeper in the division due to his attributes and the way he plays the game. ‘It’s easy to forget he’s 19, and I believe he’s destined for the very top. Without him, I don’t think Pompey would be able to play the style of football Cowley wants to at Fratton Park, because his distribution from the back is phenomenal. ‘The winless run Pompey were on could have been a lot worse in terms of results had it not been for the performances he put in, and some of the saves he made.
