The Irishman was dropped for last weekend’s trip to Burton, a fixture which produced an impressive 4-2 triumph for Kenny Jackett’s side.

However, after netting twice at Southend in the week for a much-changed Blues side in the EFL Trophy, Curtis has been rewarded.

He comes in for Ryan Williams and could well resume left-wing duties, with Michael Jacobs switched over to the right.

That also means no start for Rasmus Nicolaisen, who made his Pompey debut in that 3-0 win at Southend on Tuesday night.

Instead Jackett retains Sean Raggett and Jack Whatmough as his central-defensive pairing.

Rock bottom MK Dons include recent recruit Cameron Jerome on the bench for today’s Fratton Park encounter.

Pompey: MacGillivray, Johnson, Whatmough, Raggett, Brown, Naylor, Morris, Jacobs, Harness, Curtis, Harrison.

Subs: Bass, Close, Marquis, Nicolaisen, Pring, Cannon, Williams.
