That’s 47,300 less than what the Blues have been given for the game at Wembley on Sunday, April 5.

That means the Fratton faithful will vastly outnumber opposition fans for a game that attracted a record-breaking crowd of 85,021 for the competition last season when Kenny Jackett’s side beat Sunderland on penalties.

The difference in numbers is not surprising, though, given that Salford’s biggest crowd of the season was the 4,518 that attended their Carabao Cup game with Leeds back in August.

That represents the biggest-ever attendance recorded at Moor Lane.

An overall total of 8,049 fans were at Wembley last season to see the Lions’ victory against Fylde in the Conference play-off final.

Salford fans will be seated in the West Stand, with Pompey supported seated in the East Stand.
