John Mousinho’s men ran out 4-0 winners at the League One side through goals from Colby Bishop (two), Callum Lang and Jordan Williams this afternoon.
The Blues dominated for long spells, using 23 different pla yers, and will be delighted with their latest friendl y work-out heading towards the August 9 start at Oxford United.
And here are our Pompe y pla yer ratings...
9. Adrian Segecic - 7
(Replaced by Harry Clout on 75 mins) Started in the number 10 role, where his chasing and energy helped the Blues’ press from high up the pitch. Always wants the ball, always wants to create, he moved over to the right in the second half to accommodate Swift. Photo: Simon Roe
10. Josh Murphy - 8 - MOM
(Replaced by Paddy Lane on 59 mins) At his destructive best, the left winger focussed on delivering crosses early into the box from the left and Reading simply couldn’t cope. Created goals for Lang and Bishop, with another Bishop finish also ruled out for off-side. Photo: Nigel Keene
11. Colby Bishop - 8
(Replaced by Thomas Waddingham on 59 mins) Two poacher’s goals to open his pre-season account in his second outing. Took an elbow to the face which required lengthy treatment, then minutes later poked in Pompey’s third goal following Lang’s right-wing cross. Made it 4-0 with a far-post finish from a Murphy delivery. Photo: Habibur Rahman
