The centre-half is simply a class above.
Defensively outstanding, throwing himself into everything.
(replaced by Cam Pring on 59 minutes): Injury ended another assured showing.
Wonderful showing as Ipswich couldn’t silence his creativity.
Drive, energy and heart so crucial to Blues.
No goals but produced trademark midfield dominance.
(replaced by Michael Jacobs on 86 minutes): Hit the bar, but overall performance a little stop-start.
Added goals to his outstanding work-rate and team commitment.
Lovely assist for first goal, but should have got on the score sheet himself.
(replaced Lee Brown on 59 minutes): Always gives an overlapping threat.
