A magnificent second-half display from Pompey run out 4-1 winners over Reading as their promotion push continues at pace.
It was a tough first half from the Blues, who found themselves uncharacteristically dominated at home as Reading dictated possession.
However, Paddy Lane’s 37th-minute opener against the run of play turned the game on its head – with Marlon Pack, Callum Lang and Colby Bishop netting after the break.

9. Callum Lang - 8
(Replaced by Josh Martin on 85 mins) Recalled to the side and yet again proved what an excellent January acquisition he has been with effort and energy. Had a better second half with Pompey having more of the ball and produced a lovely angled right-footed finish for the third goal. Photo: Jason Brown
(Replaced by Kusini Yengi on 84 mins) - Finally got the goal he deserved when David Button dropped Rafferty’s cross and the striker tapped into an empty net. Has Yengi breathing down his neck at the moment and that can only raise his game. Photo: Bryn Lennon
(Replaced by Gavin Whyte on 85 mins) No goals today but a hat-trick of assists from the blossoming winger. The first two goals came out of absolutely nowhere through his positivity and strong running, while the third he was sent away down the right by Moxon’s interception of a free-kick.
