Leading the 2023-24 table for all but one week since September, John Mousinho’s men were crowned champions with two games to spare during an emotional Fratton Park evening.
However, following memorable celebrations on Southsea Common in May, the Blues released 11 of their title heroes, whose deals were expiring.
Some were controversial decisions, some were expected – and here’s what has happened to them all since...

9. Ryan Schofield
Despite being released by the Blues, the goalkeeper remained at Fratton Park to undergo rehabilitation on the elbow injury he sustained in training towards the season’s end. Schofield finally returned to football in January when recruited by League Two strugglers Morecambe for the remainder of the campaign. The former Huddersfield man featured for a three-game spell in February, conceding three goals, yet sustained a groin injury in the latter of those against Doncaster. Schofield has subsequently missed the last five matches for Derek Adams’ side, who are languishing in the League Two relegation zone and potentially facing non-league football next season. 10. Josh Dockerill
Upon his departure, Dockerill hadn’t featured for Pompey for almost a year following a cruciate ligament injury in July 2023 against Gosport in pre-season. He subsequently signed for the Hawks in July 2024 following a successful trial, which included facing his former club in a Westleigh Park friendly. Since then, the 20-year-old has made 33 appearances for Shaun North’s men, with all but four coming as starts for the Southern League Premier South club. Dockerill played the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Frome which keeps the Hawks in sixth place - three points off the play-offs. Photo: Jason Brown

11. Harry Jewitt-White
Having come through the Blues ranks to make nine Pompey appearances, including one League One start, the Hayling Island youngster was released last summer. He subsequently joined Northern Ireland Premiership team Crusaders in August 2024, signing a two-year deal with the Belfast-based club. Since the turn of the year, Jewitt-White has established himself as a regular in their midfield, scoring three goals in four games at one point, while totalling 27 appearances. Crusaders are presently fifth in the Northern Ireland Premiership, with the 20-year-old featuring for 68 minutes in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with bottom club Loughgall. Photo: Jason Brown
