The 30-year-old central defender reached the notable landmark following his 227th outing for the Blues in Tuesday night’s 3-1 win over Cambridge United.
By doing so, he heads an impressive list including fellow former Player of the Seasons, FA Cup winners, First Division title winners, League Two title winners and several Pompey Hall of Famers.
Here are the Blues’ top-14 appearance makers since January 2000...
13. David James - 158 games
Arrived from Manchester City in August 2006, David James would become one of the greatest goalkeepers in Pompey's proud history. An outstanding player who won the 2008 FA Cup and then finished on the losing side in 2010 - and also claimed The News/Sports Mail Player Of The Season twice. Photo: None
14. Tom Naylor - 149 games
Signed by Kenny Jackett in the summer of 2018 on a free transfer from Burton, Naylor became a reliable, hard-working fixture in Pompey's midfield as they reached successive League One play-off semi-finals. He also replaced Brett Pitman as skipper and was part of the 2019 Checkatrade Trophy-winning team. Picture: Joe Pepler Photo: PinPeP
