Thankfully, the winger swiftly relaxed the punished and, to the delight of supporters, Marie was back on Twitter.

Anyone who's met the Irishwoman will be aware she's open-hearted and welcoming, with plenty of time for anyone who comes up to speak to her at Fratton Park.

And she displayed her generosity by looking after Andy Cannon while he recovers from the coronavirus.

It means the quartet are in self-isolation, with Cannon stuck in his Waterlooville home for the time being.

With Cannon's parents still in Greater Manchester, Marie’s took on the role of playing his mum and looking the man who rooms with her son on away trips.

The 24-year-old revealed on Twitter that Marie sent him up a meal to ensure he makes a quick recovery.

Cannon wrote: ‘Thank you for sending me some of your food up Marie you’ve got a heart of gold it was lovely @curtis5601.’

In reply, Marie again showed her selflessness by saying Cannon could have self-isolated in the Curtis household had there been an extra bedroom available.

She wrote: ‘If Ronan had another room you’d be here with us so I could look after you. If we have to isolate we might as well all be together.’
