The Blues tweeted a message of thanks to South Devon Premier League side Windmill FC for allowing them to use their Millbay Park facilities ahead of tonight’s game at Plymouth.

The post included pictures of several Pompey players who had been involved in the training session.

And among those pictured were three players who were deemed doubts for the match at Home Park – Tom Naylor, Sean Raggett and Jack Whatmough.

Meanwhile, Callum Johnson was also present, in full training gear, following his substitution against Ipswich in the FA Cup because of a dead leg.

The right-back’s selection for the game against the Pilgrims was never really in doubt.

However, the news coming out of the club was that tonight’s clash might come too soon for Whatmough, who suffered a hamstring injury against Charlton on October 31.

Meanwhile, both Naylor and Raggett’s availability was in doubt after they missed training at the end of last week because of ‘knocks’.

However, all three are part of the travelling Pompey party for the game against Plymouth – providing manager Kenny Jackett with a welcome boost ahead of what is an important match.

Victory tonight could see the seventh-placed Blues climb to third in the table.

Defeat will see the hosts overtake them in the league table and Pompey drop to eighth.

Michael Jacobs remains sidelined with a knee injury, while Ronan Curtis is currently away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.

It remains to be seen if Andy Cannon will feature tonight, though.

He picked up at groin injury at Ipswich but was not pictured among the Blues players at Millbay Park.
