The Blues delivered a hard-fought 2-1 success against Russell Martin's side to pick up a first home League One win of the season.

Naylor opened the scoring after just two minutes before Scott Fraser hit back from the penalty spot.

However, a spot-kick from Ellis Harrison before the interval earned Kenny Jackett's side all three points.

Pompey were made to work for their triumph, though, with the Dons having 71-per-cent possession and dominated the second period.

Yet Naylor revealed that's something the Blues had been working on in training ahead of the Fratton Park clash.

And the skipper toasted a 'great win' as Pompey moved up to ninth in the table.

Naylor said: ‘We came in after the game buzzing because we knew it would be a hard game.

‘They had a lot of possession and have got a lot of technical players and we had to keep our shape.

‘We got the first goal, got our tails up then, unfortunately, gave a penalty away.

‘We responded well, though, got our own penalty then knew it was going to be a big second half.

‘We kept a clean sheet in the second half and said that as long as we win this game then we've done our jobs.

‘We've been working on it all week. We knew they were going to have possession and it was going to be one of those games.

‘They've got good players and it was a good result. That's back-to-back wins and long may that continue.

‘They only had one real clear-cut chance when Craig (MacGillivray) made a great save. Ellis had one to make it 3-1 when the keeper made another good save.

‘All in all, it's a great win for us.’
