The 51-year-old’s renowned for his antics while officiating games and is dubbed as a ‘celebrity ref’.

He’s also an avid follower of the Blues’ League One rivals Tranmere and was memorably spotted in the crowd celebrating their League Two play-off semi-final victory over Forest Green last season.

This season, Dean – who’s been a Select Group referee since 2001 – has handed out 106 yellow and four red cards in 23 matches.
