That’s according to Manchester-based journalist Jonathan Shrager, who claims both the Blues and QPR are monitoring the 20-year-old.

Levitt, who is a full Wales international, spent the first half of this season on loan at League One Charlton.

However, it was revealed today that United had recalled the player from his spell at The Valley, after making just five appearances for Lee Bowyer’s side.

According to Shrager, the midfielder will assess his options over the next couple of weeks.

But with Levitt reportedly keen to remain in the senior Wales set-up ahead of this summer’s European Championships, a ‘big decision’ lies in wait.

According to a post on Twitter, Shrager said: ‘Both QPR and Portsmouth like Levitt, but in terms of going out on loan again for the second half of the season, Dylan will assess after a couple of weeks back at #MUFC, and a couple of U23 games.

‘He is very keen to go to the Euros with Wales in the summer, so it is a big decision.’

Speaking after Levitt returned to Old Trafford, former boss Bowyer said he had concerns about the youngster’s physicality for League One football at this stage of his career.

He told londonnewsonline: ‘He has been a pleasure to work with. He’s a very good player. He works hard every day.

‘The thing for me was just the physical side, which will come in time for him.

‘Is he going back better than he came? I think, yeah. There’s stuff he has taken on board that I’ve passed on to him and he said himself “I feel I’m learning here”. He enjoyed it here.

‘He is very good on the ball, a very good passer.

‘Was it a little too early for him? I’d probably say it’s the league that was the problem – not him as a player.

‘It was just the physicality of the league. Other leagues aren’t like that – the Premier League and international football.’

Pompey are keen to add to their midfield ranks this month, with manager Kenny Jackett looking for competition for both Andy Cannon and Tom Naylor.
