Kenny Jackett made six changes in total for Monday night’s fifth-round tie against the Premier League side.

Key players such as skipper Tom Naylor and 13-goal Ronan Curtis were rested, with the Blues boss prioritising the League One promotion push.

Pompey have two key games approaching, travelling to the seventh-placed Posh on Saturday before hosting sixth-placed Fleetwood on Tuesday.

Ferguson tuned in for the Blues’ loss against the Gunners but is expecting a completely different challenge at London Road.

And the Peterborough boss is unable to predict whether it’ll be John Marquis or Ellis Harrison who spearheads Jackett's attack.

Ferguson told the Peterborough Telegraph: ‘I saw the game, but it told me very little. Arsenal won very comfortably in the end, but we will see a different Portsmouth team.

‘Kenny probably won’t change much from his normal team as they’ve been going so well.

‘But he needs a replacement for Burgess (who is suspended) and who he plays up front is another decision for him. It could be Marquis or Ellis Harrison.’
