Mark O’Mahony’s second goal in consecutive games was cancelled by substitute Louie Sibley in the 72nd minute as the match finished in a disappointing 1-1 draw.
However, Pompey will be ruining Elias Soresen’s missed penalty on three minutes, which denied the chance of a crucial early goal – and here are our player ratings...
5. Connor Ogilvie - 7
Appeared to be trying to get forward a lot more from left-back, yet understandably didn’t have the same connection with Bianchini as Murphy. Rock solid as ever. Photo: Steve Bailey
6. Andre Dozzell - 8
Operated further forward than Swift and knitted up the defence and the attack superbly. Has a handy knack of being in the right place at the right time. Photo: Steve Bailey
7. John Swift - 7
(Replaced by Zak Swanson on 86 mins) Played in the deep-lying central midfielder role and looked to dictate Pompey’s play, keeping things extremely simple. Encouraging debut. Photo: Paul Phelan
8. Florian Bianchini - 5
(Replaced by Minhyeok Yang on 66 mins) Started in place of Murphy on the left wing yet didn’t quite come off. Should have done far better with a first-half chance struck straight at the keeper, while was sloppy at times, yet work-rate was very good. Photo: Portsmouth FC
