Pompey visit Stevenage’s Lamex Stadium, Broadhall Way, Stevenage, Herts, SG2 8RH on Saturday. The Lamex Stadium holds 6,920 fans and Blues supporters will be in the covered South Stand behind one goal.

Leave the A1(M) at junction seven and take the A602 towards Stevenage. Go straight across the first roundabout and – as you approach the next roundabout – you will see the floodlights of the 
ground over on the right-hand side. If you go straight across the roundabout you will see the entrance to a large car park on your left.

The car park is free, however it only has one entrance and exit, so this can lead to a bit of a bottle neck after the game. There is an underpass under the main road to the ground.

Alternatively, there is some street parking in the local area and several pay and display car parks in the town centre.

Please note parking in the nearby Roaring Meg Retail Park is for a maximum of 90 minutes. Staying longer could lead to an expensive day out by way of a large fine.

At the time of writing, it is not known how engineering works will be affecting trains from Portsmouth to London Waterloo.

Trains run regularly to Stevenage from London Kings Cross and the journey takes around half an hour. The station is about a mile from the ground.

There is a shuttle bus service, starting about 1pm, which runs from stop N at the station direct to the ground and costs £1 return.

Turn left out of the ticket barriers towards the town, take the first stairs on the left before the bridge over the dual carriageway and stop N is at the bottom on the right.

The return service usually continues for about an hour after the game.

If you decide to walk, turn left out of the ticket barriers towards the town.

Take the stairs on the right before the bridge over a dual carriageway and head along the A602, Lytton Way.

At the roundabout, which has a police station on the right, go through the underpass to take the second exit into Six Hills Way towards Asda.

At the next roundabout take the third exit (south) continuing along the A602 Monkswood Way, passing Asda on your right.

After the best part of a mile, you will arrive at a roundabout and see the Lamex opposite you on the other side of the A602.

The usual selection of hot food and drinks are available in the ground but no alcohol will be on sale.

In town, near the bus station, The Standard Bearer pub, SG1 1PF, is a Wetherspoons serving food.

Also in the Town Square, SG1 1BP, is the Old Post Office – a café bar serving food and cask marque ale which has Sky TV.

Nearer the ground, you will find Our Mutual Friend, Broadwater Crescent, SG2 8EH, which advertises real ales and ciders, or The Roebuck Inn, London Road, SG2 8DS, a 15th century inn with bar and restaurant.

Across the roundabout from the ground in the Roaring Meg Retail Park, there are various eating outlets such as Pizza Hut, McDonalds and Burger King, plus a Harvester restaurant and bar, The Roaring Meg, SG1 1XN.
