Smith was introduced for Adam McGurk on the hour mark and swiftly made his impact.

On 68 minutes, the on-loan striker smartly turned home Ben Tollitt’s right-wing cross.

Smith then turned provider in the 78th minute for Adam May to slot home Pompey’s third.

Crawley pulled one back in the 87th minute, but the Blues held on for victory.
