The Quattro Plant JP Speedfit Kawasaki ace, and passenger Ryan Charlwood, started the meeting well with a second-placed finish.

But their progress on day two was thwarted when they were taken out by another car.

That saw them finish seventh overall.

The duo now sit fourth in the main championship and second in the 600CC event.

Stevens said: 'The first race was excellent for us.

'We were going well in race two before we were completely taken out due to no fault of our own.

'From there it was damage limitation in getting the sidecar home and in the points.'

Charlwood added: 'Race one showed what we are capable of.

'Through no fault of our own we didn't have any luck in race two.

'We can still win the 600 Championship, but race two didn't help us.'

The next and final round of the British Sidecar Championship is at the Brands Hatch GP circuit in two weeks' time, where double points

are up for grabs in the two races.
