Portsmouth's 2008 FA Cup-winning parade revisited with 24 great images

On this day in 2008, Pompey fans took over the streets of Portsmouth as the Blues’ players and the FA Cup they famously secured against Cardiff at Wembley just 24 hours earlier made their way to Southsea Common to celebrate the club’s success.

Tens of thousands of people accompanied the team bus on it’s journey from Fratton Park – all desperate to get a glance of their heroes and a cup that was last seen in these parts in 1939.
