Oops! Great South Run misspells Portsmouth on runners' numbers for 2018 eventÂ
But it seems even the Great South Run's organisers aren't immune from forgetting the name of its host city.
They have been left with egg on their face after misspelling the name of the city on runner numbers.

The misspelling was spotted on the number for an 'accompanying adult' in the Mini GSR.Â
According to the recipient of the dodgy number, the Great South Run will be sending out a replacement.Â
The misspelling of Portsmouth is believed to have only affected a small number of runners taking part in the Mini GSRÂ '“Â and none of the other events.Â

'˜None of the 20,000 run numbers from the 10-mile event, the Simplyhealth Junior Great South Run, Simplyhealth Great South 5k or the Simplyhealth Canine Run are affected.'Â
