Demand proved so high for tickets that supporters will not get the chance to purchase in a general sale.

All available seats to watch Eoin Morgan's side take on Sri Lanka were snapped up in the priority purchase and ballot window which ended yesterday.

The Ageas Bowl chief executive, David Mann, said: 'It has been very pleasing to see such exceptional demand for this summer’s Vitality IT20.

'Whilst 2020 presented a number of challenges for the game, we were delighted to play our part in hosting a busy schedule of bio-secure, behind-closed-doors fixtures and we’re looking forward to a memorable summer of action this year.

‘Assuming government guidance allows, the prospect of safely welcoming fans back to The Ageas Bowl is something we’re all really excited about.’

Hampshire have reserved some seats for members of the county but that is now the only possible option in order to get a ticket for the IT20 series decider against Sri Lanka.

All purchased tickets will be protected by The Ageas Bowl’s Ticket Refund Promise.

It means full refunds will be provided should the match be cancelled, played behind closed doors or at a reduced capacity.
