Lalys have been running clinics seven days a week, on average administering some 500 vaccinations daily - the total is now over 10,000.

Club members have volunteered to greet and marshal patients on arrival and to then help control the flow through the clinic.

Becky Smith, one of the helpers, said: ‘It was great to join the gang of volunteers on Saturday morning for my first shift supporting the vaccination rollout.

‘As volunteers – masked up and in our hi viz vests - we check in and marshal everybody through the vaccination clinic, supporting the Lalys medical team who administer the vaccinations.

‘The four-hour shift flew by, and knowing that I supported another 150 plus people to receive their first jab was really rewarding.’
