Chris Harradine opened proceedings for Rose before Lee Wingate – 116 finish – Vince Aston, Dan

Eade – 18-darters – and Lee Smith propelled Phoenix into a 4-1 lead.

Shane Williams – 17-dart leg – and Michael Neat kept Rose in the match but Lloyd Walker won the penultimate leg to take his side to victory.

The Stag B kept the pressure on the Division 2 pacesetters as they defeated Phoenix North End C 5-4.

It was Phoenix who took a 3-1 lead courtesy of Gavin Hall, Josh Holmes and Ian Vincent.

But the momentum then swung in the Stag's favour as Mark Barnes, Brian Stewart and David Place jnr were all on the mark.

Jim Scammell held his nerve to win the match for Stag.

Thatchers A secured their first win of the season as they overcame Oyster House A 6-3.

Doug Mitchell and Peter Lamb put Thatchers on their way with winning starts.

But they were soon behind as Alex Hood, Jon MacDonald and Toby George put Oyster 3-2 up.

Dave Robinson hit a maximum to restore parity and it was one-way traffic from that point.

Chris Lawrence and Andy Messenger both won and Alan Mitchell snr took the final set.

Lord Chichester A came from behind to triumph 5-4 over the Froddington Arms and stay top of Division 4.

Alan Miller gave Froddington the early lead but Chichester’s Pat Reed and Pete Curtis put their team 2-1 in front.

Cyril Hallett pulled Froddington level, however, Dave Gisby took the next leg to restore Chichester’s

lead.

Froddington had maximums from Dave Paul and Allen Gaymer as they built a 4-3 advantage, with latter

also throwing an 18-dart leg.

But Austin Egan and Terry Dugan won the remaining ties to hand Lord Chichester the victory.

In Division 5, Newcome Arms A clinched a 5-4 triumph over the Barley Mow despite being a player short on a deciding leg.

Pete Roberts and Andrew Lawson won the first two clashes for Mow but Newcome were soon back

on level terms courtesy of Stephen Holmes and Dave West.

Warren Bone put Mow back in front, only for Newcome’s Jon Tibble to make it 3-3.

Mark Spain put Mow within a leg of victory at 4-3.

It was Steve Wood who won the penultimate leg and with Newcome a player down, he was redrawn and won the decider.

John Benham scored 180 for the Lawrence Arms yet they fell to a first defeat of the season going down 5-4 to second-placed Rose in June A.

Adam Lipscombe (Admiral Drake B) threw a pair of 15-dart legs while Jack Seymour (Lord Chichester

B) notched a 16-darter and Mike Symes (Admiral Drake B) finished legs in 17 and 18 darts.

There were 18-dart efforts from Darren Barnes, Ross Hughes, Buster Turner (all Lord Chichester

B), Lee O’Donovan, David Smith (both Jolly Taxpayer C), Steve Greenwood (Jolly Taxpayer A), Danny

Smith (Admiral Drake B) and Jon Tazewell (Phoenix North End A).

Hughes, O'Donovan, Turner and Tazewell checked-out on 116, 115, 109 and 101 respectively.

Meanwhile, Danny Smith scored 180 and 171 while Greenwood hit a maximum.

Neil Hallett (Jolly Taxpayer C) registered a 118 game shot and Adrian Jones finished on 107.

Mike Feaver (Lord Chichester B), Ryan Jennings (Lady Hamilton), Charlie Dunn (Jolly Taxpayer C) and

Allan Lloyd (Milton Arms) all hit maximums.

Colin Ayling (Fountain A) scored 171 and Gary Miller (Lady Hamilton) struck 160.

Portsmouth Individual League

Steve Harradine won week three of the contest to seal top spot following a 4-3 win over Dan Eade in

the final.

The champion threw a 13-dart leg and five maximums on his way to victory.

Harradine beat Paul Gibbs 4-2 in the semi-finals and edged out Bob Crawley 4-3 in the last-eight.

Eade reached the final for the third week on the trot but was forced to settle for a runner-up spot.

Ryan Groves won the plate contest as Justin Hughes finished second.

Bishop's Waltham & District League

Alan Rick’s 119 finish and a 13-darter from Jon Grant failed prevent Acorn SC A from being

demolished 8-1 by Division 1 table-toppers Bishop’s Waltham SC A.

Steve Perren struck a 13-dart leg for the winners, Rob Paice weighed in with a 17-darter and Luke Getty threw an 18-dart effort.

James Jarrat’s maximum helped Bishop’s Waltham SC B win 6-3 against Barleycorn A.

Hedge End Club leapfrogged Vine in the table as they dispatched them 7-2 with a 180 from Dan

Davis.

Martin Chalk’s 100 checkout inspired Grapes to a 5-4 victory over Brewery Bar.

Priory C whitewashed Fox & Hounds 9-0 in Division 2 while Black Dog B and Linden Tree B enjoyed

8-1 triumphs as they beat Acorn SC B and Dolphin respectively.

Park Gate RBL B’s J Marshall and Priory A’s Stuart Martin both fired in maximums as the sides met

with Priory emerging as 6-3 victors.
