It didn't take long for McKinson - wearing a Pompey shirt - to point to the WBO Global belt the Bermondsey-based boxer had placed over his shoulder as they stared each other down.

Kongo, donning the strip of Championship side Millwall was quick to respond and there was a brief back and forth of verbals between the pair.

Matchroom promoter Hearn soon placed his hand between the two unbeaten fighters before a member of security moved the duo in different directions.

The excitement is building within the boxing world for what is sure to be an enthralling domestic showdown on the Whyte v Povetkin II undercard.

And a fiery first meeting between McKinson and Kongo could add some additional spice come fight night.
